It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's difficult for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her newest gem.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fail again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Many contend the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it has been a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your fighting spirit activate and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there the right-hander was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was out the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the final thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.
